The Problem

Trip planning often meant juggling lists, messages, and duplicate gear. RuckList was designed to centralize it all, giving users one clear place to prepare, share, and pack confidently.

Strategic Approach

RuckList was built to simplify planning and coordination without losing the spirit of adventure. Our goal was to focus on turning scattered lists and messages into one connected, intuitive experience.

Browsing Gear and Starting a New Pack

The app empowers users to browse and organize gear within their personal “Gear Garage,” a centralized space to save favorite items for current and future adventures. Starting a new pack is designed to be effortless—whether you’re building from scratch, joining a friend’s shared pack, or loading a prebuilt guide pack directly into your account. This flexibility supports custom pack creation and smooth collaboration, helping users plan with ease and confidence. By simplifying the process, the experience builds trust and reassurance so users can focus less on logistics and more on the journey ahead.

Initial Sketches

Starting with quick sketches, I explored how users might browse gear, save it to their garage, and drop items into a pack. These early layouts helped shape a smoother, more natural flow before moving into digital wireframes. And the stackholder's loved to see it!

Marketing Website

I designed a marketing website that not only promotes the app but also serves as a central hub for gear information and reviews. Users can browse gear, read and watch reviews, check prices and specs, and even log into their app account to add items directly to their Gear Garage. The goal was to make it easy for users to explore, research, and organize gear—all in one place—so they can confidently build accurate packs and stay engaged with the app ecosystem.
